Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao wins the WBO Super Welterweight title after defeating Antonio Margarito in their at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Manny Pacquiao owned the whole fight defeating Antonio Margarito to obtain the WBO Super Welterweight title, which is his eighth title. The judges Jurgen Langos, Oren Shellenberger and Glen Crocker made a unanimous decision providing scores of 120 to 108, 119 to 109 and 118 to 110, respectively.

Margarito entered the boxing ring first to cheers, which is led by his Mexican flag. Pacquiao, second, led initially by AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”. Both of the fighters are cheered loudly as they enter the boxing ring. The crowd seems to be a mix of fans from both sides.

On the first three rounds, Manny tried to weight the punches of Margarito. He exchanged punches with the opponent with one, two combinations and released jabs to the body. The guard of Margarito was high but he is not giving too many punches making it easier for Pacquiao to make his combinations.

On the fifth round, it seems like Margarito is ready to go but he fired some body shots to Pacquiao before the end of the round. However, on round six, Margarito seemed to be energized and fired continues punches on Pacquiao. This round went to Margarito with a score of 10-9.

From the sixth round until round 12, all of it was given to Pacquiao. The pride of Saranggani showed incredible speed and stamina until the end of the round.

According to Manny after the fight, he stopped firing continues punches on round 12 because he already know that the he won. He said at that time, he is not looking for a knock out so he simply let the time pass by. Pacquiao won with a score of 119 to 107.
